2nd WSAF European Championships (Day 2)

The 2nd WSAF Junior, Youth, Cadet and Senior European Aikido Championships is open to all Aikido practitioners, players and groups irrespective of association, affiliation or the style of Aikido practised.

Entry Fees

  • Junior, Youth, Cadet : €30.00 per person
  • Senior (19+)  €50.00 per person

This is a standard flat entry fee, irrespective of the number of events entered.

  • Men’s Team Tanto Randori (five men 3rd Kyu and above)

Regulations

Rules and formats

Junior, Youth and Cadet rules will follow the already established European and British formats that have developed since 1977. The senior rules will follow the existing international format and Aikido Randori Rules (Regulations and Referee Signals – revised 30th Aug 2008 JAA). Both sets of rules and regulations will be sent to all participant groups and posted on the WSAF website.

Participation

The event is open to all Aikido practitioners, players and groups irrespective of association, affiliation or the style of Aikido practised and is a truly an “open” competition.

Team Points

Team points for 1st place (3 points), 2nd place (2 points) and 3rd place (1 point). Place positions will be allocated to the participant’s country of origin/residence. the WSAF recognizes Nation States as the core participants of the event.

General Clarifications

  • The child’s age on the day of the competition will determine the event they may enter (not the application closing date)
  • In all competitions the eldest participant of any pair or team will determine which age group can be entered.
  • In Kongo dan taisen 16 years + is acceptable for Embu/Tai Sabaki events and 18+ for Randori .
  • Players 18 years to 19 years can enter either the cadet or senior events but not both.
  • In Senior competition players can only enter a maximum of two embu events.
  • In Senior competition the minimum grade is 3 Kyu (Green).
